Consumer Credit File Rights
You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report, but you cannot have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you have the right to obtain a copy of your consumer file and to dispute any inaccurate information. You may do this yourself, for free. A credit repair company cannot charge you in advance for services before they have been fully performed, and you have the right to cancel any contract within three business days without charge.
You can dispute inaccurate information directly with the credit bureaus at no cost. You do not need to pay any company to dispute items you believe are inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable.
Before enrollment is activated, you will be asked to acknowledge in writing that you received and reviewed these disclosures. [ Placeholder — electronic acknowledgment mechanism pending legal review. ]
